Description
3 sessions of body INDIBA, 60 minutes each. 448 kHz radiofrequency applied to the body, in one-hour sessions.
What it involves
INDIBA is a radiofrequency device that works at a fixed frequency of 448 kHz. That figure is not a sales detail: it is what defines the technology. At that frequency the current passes through the tissue, moving ions on both sides of the cell membrane, and the main effect is not thermal but one of exchange.
It works in two modes. The capacitive mode acts on the more superficial, more water-rich tissues—skin, soft muscle—; the resistive mode concentrates on the higher-resistance tissues—tendon, bone, fibrous tissue—and reaches deeper. The practitioner alternates between the two according to the aim.
What is best documented is the increase in local blood flow and temperature, and the effect on drainage and oedema. That is why it is so widely used in physiotherapy and tissue recovery, and why it fits particularly well after surgery.
Who it is for
Fluid retention and a feeling of heaviness, recovery after liposuction or body surgery, and fibrous tissue or adhesions. It is also the trial package if you want to see how your body responds before committing to a long course.
What a session is like
It is applied with a head that glides over the skin with a conductive cream, while a return plate closes the circuit. It does not hurt: you feel a pleasant warmth, more or less intense depending on the mode. No anaesthetic is needed and you can go about your day as normal afterwards.
What to expect
Three sessions are enough to assess tolerance and the first response, especially in oedema. A lasting change in the appearance of the tissue needs longer courses: that is why there are the 6- and 12-session packages.
What it does NOT do
It does not slim you or remove fat. It does not replace liposuction or correct established laxity. What it does is improve drainage, oedema and tissue quality.
When it cannot be done. It is not used if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, over metal osteosynthesis hardware depending on the area, during pregnancy, or over an area with thrombosis, active infection or a tumour. We check all of this at the prior assessment.
What the package includes
- 3 sessions of body INDIBA, 60 minutes each.
- Redeemable by appointment at the clinic. Valid for 12 months from purchase.
Whether it is right for you is always decided at a prior assessment in the clinic. If the treatment does not suit you, we will tell you and find one that does.
