Description
12 sessions of body INDIBA with pressotherapy. The long course of the combination: radiofrequency and sequential compression, twelve times.
What it involves
INDIBA is a radiofrequency device that works at a fixed frequency of 448 kHz. That figure is not a sales detail: it is what defines the technology. At that frequency the current passes through the tissue, moving ions on both sides of the cell membrane, and the main effect is not thermal but one of exchange.
It works in two modes. The capacitive mode acts on the more superficial, more water-rich tissues—skin, soft muscle—; the resistive mode concentrates on the higher-resistance tissues—tendon, bone, fibrous tissue—and reaches deeper. The practitioner alternates between the two according to the aim.
What is best documented is the increase in local blood flow and temperature, and the effect on drainage and oedema. That is why it is so widely used in physiotherapy and tissue recovery, and why it fits particularly well after surgery.
Pressotherapy is intermittent pneumatic compression: chambers that inflate in sequence and push fluid towards venous and lymphatic return. Its evidence lies in oedema, venous insufficiency and the prevention of thrombosis, and here it is applied straight after the radiofrequency to make the most of tissue that has already been mobilised.
Who it is for
Persistent oedema, heavy legs and recoveries after body surgery that need long-term support.
What a session is like
Each session is 60 minutes of INDIBA with the head, followed by pressotherapy in the suit, lying down. Neither of them hurts.
What to expect
Twelve sessions make it possible to sustain the result on oedema and to work on fibrosis consistently, which is where the long course makes a difference over the short one.
What it does NOT do
It does not slim you or remove fat. It improves oedema and tissue quality, not the amount of fat.
When it cannot be done. It is not used if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, over metal osteosynthesis hardware depending on the area, during pregnancy, or over an area with thrombosis, active infection or a tumour. We check all of this at the prior assessment. Pressotherapy is not used either with acute venous thrombosis, decompensated heart failure or infection in the leg.
What the package includes
- 12 sessions of body INDIBA with pressotherapy.
- Redeemable by appointment at the clinic. Valid for 12 months from purchase.
Whether it is right for you is always decided at a prior assessment in the clinic. If the treatment does not suit you, we will tell you and find one that does.
