Description
Foam sheets for post-surgical compression from Biodermis, in a pack of 3. They are not a cream: they are compression material. They are cut to size and placed between the skin and the garment.
What it does
After liposuction or liposculpture, the compression garment does two jobs: it reduces oedema and helps the skin adapt to the new contour. The problem is that a garment rests on a surface that is no longer even—there are hollower areas, folds, the swelling itself—and the pressure is distributed badly.
Where the garment does not rest on the skin, the compression does not reach and oedema settles in. Where it presses too hard, especially at the edge of the garment, a groove appears that can take weeks to go. This sheet solves both: it fills the hollows so that the pressure is even, and it cushions the edge.
It is a simple, unglamorous material, but in practice it makes a difference to how the contour turns out, especially on the abdomen and lower back.
It is cut with scissors to the size of the area, so one sheet makes several pieces.
Who it is for
After liposuction, liposculpture or an abdominoplasty, during the first few weeks of compression. At your follow-up visit we will tell you where to place it and for how long.
How to use it
Cut the sheet to the size of the area and place it between the skin and the compression garment, on clean, dry skin. Check every day that there is no fold pressing into the skin.
After surgery or a procedure, do not restart actives on your own: we will tell you when to go back to them and with what.
Size
Pack of 3 sheets. One size: each sheet is cut to the size of the area.
Not sure whether it suits you? Ask us at your next consultation: the routine is adapted to your skin, not the other way round.
Size guide
One size. The sheet is cut to the size of the area, so there is nothing to measure.
