Description
Exfoliating scalp shampoo from AllSkin Med. For a scalp that flakes and gets oily: keratolytic, oil-regulating and antioxidant.
What it does
Scalp flaking is usually caused by a combination of excess sebum and overgrowth of Malassezia, a yeast that is part of the normal flora and proliferates in that environment. Treating it requires both: removing the scale and controlling the terrain.
Salicylic acid and a lactic acid derivative do the keratolytic work: they loosen adherent scale. Climbazole is the anti-seborrhoeic agent, with activity against that yeast.
Vitis vinifera—grape extract—provides the antioxidant side.
It is designed for frequent use, and it is left on for 2-3 minutes: if it is rinsed off straight away, the acids do not have time to work.
Who it is for
A scalp with flaking, itching and excess oil. The brand also presents it as a step before and after medical-aesthetic scalp treatments. If there are plaques or associated hair loss, it should be assessed: there may be seborrhoeic dermatitis that needs treatment.
