Description
Cotton-lined lumbar and abdominal foam board. It is worn under the garment to increase the pressure on a specific area.
What it is for
A compression garment presses evenly on a surface that is not even. After 360° liposuction there are concave areas—the curve of the lower back, the flanks—where the garment does not rest on the skin, and there the compression simply does not exist: fluid collects right in the hollow.
This board fills that hollow and makes the garment’s pressure reach it too. It is one of the things that most changes the result in the lower back, which is the area most prone to fibrosis afterwards.
It is anatomical, made of high-quality foam and covered in soft cotton, so it does not leave an edge or a mark.
When to wear it
It is worn for as long as you wear the garment, for the weeks we tell you. Put it in place every time you put the garment on.
What it is like
- It goes under the garment, in contact with the skin.
- Anatomical foam covered in cotton.
- One size.
Washing and care
The cotton cover is washed by hand with mild soap and dried in the shade. The foam does not go in the washing machine or the tumble dryer.
Tighter is not better. A garment that leaves deep marks, causes numbness or tingling, or changes the colour of the skin is compressing too much and can do harm. If this happens, loosen it or move to the loosest row of hooks, and let us know.
Not sure which size to order or how long to wear it? Ask us: the garment and the number of weeks are decided by your surgeon, according to the procedure you have had.
Size guide
One size. It is a plate that goes under the garment, so there is nothing to measure.
