Description
Barrier repair emulsion with encapsulated retinol from AllSkin Med. The emulsion for the retinisation phase: it strengthens the barrier while the skin gets used to retinol, and it contains a minimal dose itself.
What it does
The combination is unusual: normally a barrier product gives up actives and an anti-ageing one sacrifices tolerance. Here the retinol is below 0.1% and enclosed in microsponges, which release it little by little. At that dose it is not aiming for the effect of a treatment retinoid; it aims to add without irritating.
Reoxderm is Cantabria Labs’ antioxidant complex, and niacinamide contributes the part with the most literature on barrier function: it improves ceramide synthesis and reduces transepidermal water loss.
Syn-Coll is a signal peptide aimed at collagen synthesis.
It is formulated for daytime, with a silky finish and a refreshing feel, and the brand itself says to apply sunscreen on top.
Who it is for
Skin going through retinisation: that is its literal indication. Also fragile or sensitive skin that wants anti-ageing prevention. If your barrier is badly compromised, start with Barrier Recovery Cream, which contains no retinol.

How to use it
In the morning, on clean skin, massaging until absorbed. Apply sunscreen on top.
Contains vitamin A (a retinoid). It is applied at night, and sun protection is essential during the day. Start twice a week and build up as your skin tolerates it. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding: ask your doctor.
