Description
Brightening gel with vitamin C and hyaluronic acid from AllSkin Med. A very light gel texture with a high antioxidant load: for normal, combination or oily skin that does not want a cream.
What it does
The antioxidant combination goes beyond vitamin C: it adds vitamin E—which acts in the lipid phase—and two polyphenols, ellagic acid and caffeic acid. Antioxidants work in a chain, and a mix of water-soluble and fat-soluble ones covers more fronts than a single molecule at a high dose.
Ellagic acid also has documented activity on tyrosinase, so it adds a depigmenting component.
The hyaluronic acid comes in two molecular weights: the high one stays on the surface, forming a film that holds water; the low one penetrates a little further and hydrates more deeply.

Who it is for
First signs of ageing and a dull tone, in normal, combination or oily skin. If your skin is dry, the gel will fall short: a cream is a better choice.
