Description
Retexturising serum with three AHAs from AllSkin Med. Three exfoliating acids at high concentration, with antioxidant vitamins in the same formula.
What it does
The blend of three AHAs is not just stacking: each has a different molecule size and speed. Glycolic acid is the smallest and penetrates furthest; citric acid acts on the surface and adjusts the pH; and shikimic acid, derived from star anise, is the gentlest of the three and also has oil-regulating and antimicrobial activity.
Splitting the concentration between the three gives results with less of an irritation peak than a high dose of glycolic acid alone.
Vitamins A, C and E provide the antioxidant and regenerating part; niacinamide works on tone and barrier; and bisabolol, the active principle of chamomile, soothes.
The brand warns that slight stinging and peeling during the first applications is normal.

How to use it
Once a day, evenly over the clean skin of the face. Avoid the eyes, the eye area and mucous membranes.
Contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). They can increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun; use sun protection while you use it and for the following week.
Contains vitamin A (a retinoid). It is applied at night, and sun protection is essential during the day. Start twice a week and build up as your skin tolerates it. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding: ask your doctor.
