Description

Cleansing gel with fruit acids from SkinCeuticals. The brand’s best-selling cleanser: it removes waterproof make-up and gently exfoliates as it goes.

What it does

The base is an amino acid surfactant system, milder than sulphates and less likely to strip the barrier’s lipids. On top of that, 6% of a blend that combines HEPES—a sulphonic acid that activates the skin’s natural renewal enzymes—with glycerin, chamomile and aloe extracts, orange oil and citric acid.

That combination of mild hydroxy acids smooths uneven or rough texture without the sting of a classic exfoliant, and the chamomile adds the anti-inflammatory side.

It removes waterproof make-up and excess oil, and leaves the skin ready for whatever comes next. The brand states that it has been tested and is suitable for use before in-clinic procedures.

Dye-free and alcohol-free.

Who it is for

Normal, combination or oily skin, for daily use. It is also the cleanser you can bring on the day of a treatment, because it leaves no residue and does not sensitise.
