Daily antioxidant serum from ZO Skin Health. The brand’s maintenance product: it goes on every day, morning and night, and supports the rest of the routine.
What it does
Much of the damage that ages the skin is oxidative: ultraviolet radiation, visible light and pollution generate free radicals that damage lipids, proteins and cellular DNA. A topical antioxidant does not replace sunscreen, but it mops up what the filter lets through.
The blend here is vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate) and vitamin E, two fat-soluble antioxidants that work in the cell membrane, plus enzymes—Micrococcus lysate, Arabidopsis extract—that the brand links to cellular repair mechanisms.
The other half of the product is barrier support: the ZPOLY polysaccharides and the aminopropanediol esters leave a film that sustains hydration. That is why it works well as a base layer under more demanding treatments.
Who it is for
Practically any skin from the age of 25-30, and especially anyone using retinoids or acids: it is the cushioning layer. It is also the product we usually keep when everything else has to be stopped.
