Description
10% glycolic and lactic acid chemical exfoliant from ZO Skin Health. 10% AHA split between glycolic and lactic acid, with soothing agents in the same formula.
What it does
Splitting the concentration between two acids is not window-dressing. Glycolic acid, with its small molecule, penetrates quickly and delivers the result; lactic acid is larger, acts more on the surface and also holds water. The blend gives an effective 10% with less of an irritation peak than 10% glycolic acid on its own.
AHAs have solid literature on texture, radiance and fine wrinkles, and over the long term an increase in epidermal thickness and better dermal collagen quality have been described.
The chamomile and aloe are there for the same reason: to reduce the stinging from the acid itself. Vitamins A and E add the antioxidant side.
Who it is for
Dull skin, rough texture, visible pores. Do not combine it with retinol on the same day if you are just starting out.

How to use it
On clean, dry skin. Start on alternate days, at night, and adjust the frequency according to how your skin tolerates it.
Contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). They can increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun; use sun protection while you use it and for the following week.
