Eye cream with retinol from ZO Skin Health. It tackles the three things people ask about when it comes to the eye area: colour, puffiness and lines.
What it does
The skin around the eyes is thinner, has fewer sebaceous glands and lines sooner. That is why it has its own formula and face cream will not do: it needs better tolerance and actives at different doses.
For pigmented dark circles, kojic dipalmitate, a kojic acid derivative that inhibits tyrosinase. For puffiness, caffeine, carnitine and coenzyme A: caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and has reasonable evidence on the appearance of eye bags. For lines, retinol and hydrolysed sericin.
The base is shea butter and squalane, because in this area an active without lipids to go with it is paid for in irritation.
Who it is for
Dark circles, puffiness and fine wrinkles around the eyes. Bear in mind that it contains retinol: if you have never used one, start slowly. A dark circle of vascular origin or caused by a tear trough hollow cannot be corrected with a cream.

How to use it
Morning and night. Pat gently under the eye and along the orbital bone until absorbed. Do not take it to the edge of the eyelid.
Contains vitamin A (a retinoid). It is applied at night, and sun protection is essential during the day. Start twice a week and build up as your skin tolerates it. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding: ask your doctor.
