What it does
Growth factors are signalling proteins that regulate proliferation and repair in tissue. In cosmetics their weak point is size: they are large molecules and penetration through an intact barrier is limited. The available evidence comes from small studies, with modest improvements in fine wrinkles and texture.
That said, the eye area is precisely where the barrier is thinnest, so it is the area where this type of formulation makes most sense.
Acetylated hyaluronate is a modified form of hyaluronic acid with a greater affinity for the skin, and it provides the optical plumping and hydration. The cool applicator, for its part, does what cold does: it reduces puffiness.
