What it does
Expression lines appear because the muscle repeatedly folds the skin in the same place. The so-called “neurotoxin-mimicking” peptides—hexapeptide-8 and similar—imitate a fragment of the protein involved in releasing acetylcholine, and in theory soften that contraction at surface level.
It is worth saying clearly: this is not botulinum toxin, nor anything like it in potency. A peptide applied to the skin does not reach the motor end plate. What is documented is a modest cosmetic effect on the appearance of the line, not muscle relaxation.
PHA—polyhydroxy acid—is the gentlest family of exfoliating acids: a large molecule, slow penetration, very little irritation and humectant properties of its own. Here it adds texture and radiance without aggression.
SkinCeuticals reports, at 12 weeks, reductions of 20.6% in overall fine lines, 13% in forehead wrinkles, 16.4% in cheek folds and 10.2% in nasolabial folds.

How to use it
Twice a day, 5-6 drops over the forehead, cheeks and chin. In the morning, after your vitamin C antioxidant serum and before sunscreen.
