Description
Renewal serum with retinol and retinal, advanced concentration from AllSkin Med. The high concentration of the renewal serum: retinol and retinal together, for skin that is already trained.
What it does
Retinduo combines two retinoids in the same formula, and that is its logic. Retinol needs two enzymatic conversions inside the skin to reach retinoic acid, the active form. Retinal—retinaldehyde—has already taken one step: it needs only one more, so it acts sooner and at a lower dose. Together they give a staggered action profile, fast at first and sustained afterwards.
Retinoids are the active with the most evidence on wrinkles, texture and pigmentation: they normalise keratinocyte differentiation and stimulate collagen synthesis.
Edafence is the brand’s anti-pollution technology, aimed at particle damage, and niacinamide works on tone and barrier, which is exactly what a retinoid tends to upset at first.
The brand warns that slight peeling during the first applications is to be expected, and that a change in the colour of the formula does not affect its effectiveness.
Who it is for
Skin already used to retinoids. The brand labels it retinol strength 2 and aims it at photoageing and dry skin. If you are starting now, take the essential version and step up once your skin is used to it.
Key ingredients
- Retinduo® (retinol + retinal + booster) — two retinoids with different speeds: staggered action
- Edafence® — the brand’s own anti-pollution technology
- Niacinamide — skin tone and barrier reinforcement
- Hydrating and soothing complex — offsets the retinoid’s initial irritation
Composition and size according to AllSkin Med’s product literature (Cantabria Labs, March 2026). The full ingredient list (INCI) is the one printed on the pack, and that is the one that counts.
How to use it
At night, on the clean, dry skin of the face, avoiding the eye area. Start gradually and increase the frequency as tolerated.
Contains vitamin A (a retinoid). It is applied at night, and sun protection is essential during the day. Start twice a week and build up as your skin tolerates it. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding: ask your doctor.
Retinol and exfoliating acids, never on the same night: alternate the nights—together they do not add up, they irritate. And on an open or scabbed wound, no retinol until the skin has closed: on an open wound it delays re-epithelialisation (Hung et al., 1989).
Size
50 ml.
