Description
SPF 50+ sunscreen stick from Mesoestetic. A stick format for the areas a cream does not reach well: lips, the eye area, scars and individual dark spots.
What it does
There are areas where a cream sunscreen fails for purely mechanical reasons: lips get licked, the eye area stings, and nobody wants to spread anything over a fresh scar. The stick solves that: precise application, no greasy residue and no need for clean hands, so people actually reapply.
And reapplication is exactly where half the protection is lost. An SPF 50+ applied once at eight in the morning is not protecting you at two in the afternoon.
The brand’s photoprotective complex covers UVB, UVA, high-energy visible light and infrared, combining physical, biological and chemical filters.
Rosehip oil—rich in essential fatty acids and natural trans-retinoic acid—is the active that justifies its use on scars: it improves the elasticity and appearance of the scar while protecting it from the sun. And protecting a scar from the sun is the only thing that really stops it becoming permanently pigmented during the first year.
Collagen pro-47 is a plant extract aimed at collagen synthesis.
Water-resistant, fragrance-free and ophthalmologically tested, which matters because it is used next to the eye.
Who it is for
Recent scars, dark spots, lips and the eye area, on any skin type. It is the product we give out after surgery to protect the scar: use it every day during the first year.
Key ingredients
- mesoprotech® complex — physical, biological and chemical filters against UVB, UVA, visible light and infrared
- Rosehip oil — essential fatty acids; improves the elasticity and appearance of scars
- Collagen pro-47 — a plant extract aimed at collagen synthesis
Actives according to the manufacturer’s technical data sheet. The full ingredient list (INCI) is the one printed on the pack, and that is the one that counts: it may vary between batches and markets.
How to use it
On clean, dry skin, after your usual serum or treatment, half an hour before exposure. Reapply every 2 hours if you are in the sun, and always after swimming, sweating or towelling dry.
A sunscreen only protects if it is applied properly. A generous amount 15 minutes before exposure, reapplied every 2 hours—and after sweating or swimming. No filter replaces shade or clothing.
