Dual exfoliant: physical and chemical from ZO Skin Health. Round wax beads for mechanical buffing and two acids for the chemical work, in the same step.
What it does
Physical exfoliants have a deserved bad reputation, but because of the grain, not the concept: irregular particles—ground fruit stones, crushed shells—make micro-cuts. Spherical wax beads roll over the skin and do not scratch.
On top of that, it contains lactic acid and salicylic acid. Lactic acid is a large AHA, gentler than glycolic, and it is also a humectant; salicylic acid gets into the pore. Between them they do the work that mechanical buffing cannot.
It is also designed for the body, where the skin is tougher and keratosis pilaris on the arms and thighs responds well to this combination.
Who it is for
Rough-textured, oily or spot-prone skin, on the face or body. For very sensitive skin or rosacea, a purely chemical exfoliant is a better choice.

How to use it
Massage a small amount over the damp face and neck. Rinse thoroughly.
Contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). They can increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun; use sun protection while you use it and for the following week.
Never on the same night as a retinoid: alternate the nights. Together they do not add up, they irritate.
