What it does
It shares the logic of C E Ferulic—pure vitamin C stabilised with ferulic acid—but swaps vitamin E for 2% phloretin, and that is where the difference in use lies.
Phloretin is a flavonoid from the apple tree with a double role: it is an antioxidant in its own right and it acts on pigmentation, as well as helping other actives penetrate. That is why this version is geared to pigmentation and uneven tone rather than wrinkles.
The brand reports protection against free radicals generated by UVA/UVB, infrared radiation (IR-A) and ozone pollution, and in its trial a 20% improvement in tone evenness, 27% in radiance and a 16% reduction in hyperpigmentation.
The vitamin C is at 10%, within the patented range, with 0.5% ferulic acid as a stabiliser.
Who it is for
Pigmentation, uneven tone and accumulated sun damage, in any skin type. If wrinkles are your priority, C E Ferulic is a better fit.

How to use it
In the morning, after cleansing and toning, 4-5 drops on the dry skin of the face, neck and décolletage, before your other products. It can also be used on the backs of the hands. Finish with sunscreen.
